Keep a journal

Want to have a journal? Do you find writing in journals boring and tedious? Well, writing in a journal can be interesting and fun. Plus, it'll be nostalgic to just flip back and see what you thought of the world when you were 14.

1. Get a journal if you haven't already. Make sure that you'll like it. If not, it'll be harder to keep up interest. Find a style that suits you. Some are: Journal books, notebooks, binders, sketchbooks, etc.

2. Organize. (Skip this step if your journal is in book form. This step is mainly for binders.) You can get dividers to organize the journal. What I do is make divide my journal to 4 sections: The actual writing, Stories and poems, Drawing, and Misc. It might help to dedicate a section for blank paper. Y'know, so that you don't have to look around every time you want to write something.

3. Start writing. Write about random stuff. Write about anything that you can think of, from popcorn to computer games. Or something like that.

4. Make it unique. This journal is yours, and yours alone. Unless, of course, you want to share it with someone else. Add stickers, drawings, tape, or whatever you can think of. The cover of my old journal was made with plastic shopping bags.

5. If you don't want to write what happened today, draw it, write it in story form, or write a poem! Use your creativity. Keep your interest by doing something different everyday.

-Conclusion-
I hope this guide helped you. Happy journal-ing!
