How to Get Famous on the Internet

Just a note before you read this article: I am not famous. Nor do I want to be. I don't have the time nor the energy to work hard at becoming famous.

We've all heard of the famous Internet celebrities like Alex Evans and Fred, just to name a couple of them. What's the key to being an Internet celebrity? There is no definite formula for Internet celebrity-dom, but there are things that would help your becoming an Internet celebrity. We'll discuss about (or rather, I just lecture about) these things, and how they would help.

Own a Site

Owning a site is optional, but it is really helpful in your quest to become famous. Websites are like your home away from home. Sorta. In your website you can brag about you (just don't appear self-centered or arrogant) however you want. In your website people can find info about you that you can't fit into your accounts. How to start a website? Since there are so many guides, and most of them saying the same thing, just Google. :)

Have Lots of Accounts

Make sure you have multiple accounts. Multiple accounts mean more access to more people. Just make sure you don't have too much accounts, or you'll be likely to get confused and tend to spend less time in each of them. Here's a checklist of sites that will be useful to have an account in. You don't have to have accounts in all of them though. Be sure to exercise common sense and basic Internet safety stuff when using these sites! Of course, you're not limited to only these sites! You can also join other types of sites that are your cup of tea. For example, I also join MangaFox and Manga Updates since I like manga. I also joined WikiHow since I like writing how-to guides so much. When joining forum sites, be active and post a lot! Remember, don't make more than one account unless it's necessary.

Display Your Talents

If you have talents, display them! If you don't particulary have anything to show, learn something! Try learning things like HTML, or you could accumulate knowledge of a particular subject like manga. Don't limit yourself to just things you think are popular; try lots of things! Have a wide variety of expertises.

If you do the following things, your celeb-dom might be in jeopardy! So, don't be: There are other things, but I think you get the point.

Remember:

Remember that you probably won't get famous overnight unless you've happened to be at the right place at the right time. Don't fall for scams or anything like that, and remember that fame is not everything! Don't feel down if you did all these things and didn't become famous. A lot of people other than you want to be famous too!
