How to Dress in a Unique Way

You don't have to follow every step exactly as it is written in this guide. After all, you want to dress uniquely, right?

1. Be a Nonconformist. Skip this step if you're already one. But if you're one of those people who like to dress or act like everyone else, you've gotta learn how to be a nonconformist. Basically a nonconformist is a person who doesn't conform to society's rules and behaviours. Don't take it to the extreme, though. Just don't dress and act like everybody else.

2. Don't care what other people think about you. Again, don't take this to the extreme. When I say that you don't care, I mean when people say things about your clothes and your behaviour. Don't, however, act disruptive nor dress inappropriately. Do care, though, when people give you constructive critism. You don't always have to follow their advice, though.

3. Now that you've got the mindset, it's time to go shopping! Or not. You don't have to go to the mall to buy unique clothes. I'll explain in the next step. Now for this step, I'll assume that you're going to the mall. My opinion about brand names is that you can buy them. Some people buy them and alter/change them. It's pretty unique to do so, and it's not just limited to brand names. Department stores and thrift shops have some good items that are cheap, too.

4. Making your own clothes is a good way to save money and is very unique. (This step is optional) You might want to learn how to sew before doing so, though. A good alternative to making your own clothes from scratch is altering your clothes. It is the cheapest way to dress uniquely. Mix and match, and don't be afraid to experiment!
