Be a True Fan of a Band/Artist

Being a true fan doesn't mean you have to be at every concert. It doesn't mean that you'll have to be a screaming fan(girl). This WW guide will show you how to express your fandom without making a total fool out of yourself.

x Are you really a true fan? Or are you just a fan of them because all your friends are into them?
True fans fit most of these criteria:

Knows more than 20 of their songs
Have at least one of their album
Owns at least one one item of merchandise
Like their music, not just their image

If most of these apply to you, congrats! You may continue.

x Express your fandom appropriately. Nobody wants to hear you talking about that band 24/7. Keep it down. The best time to talk about them is when everybody else is actually talking about music. It's very annoying when you are talking about movies (or something else) and your friend interrupts you to talk about their favorite band. Rule of thumb: Only talk about your favorite bands when someone asks you about what kind of music you like or when there's nothing else to talk about.

x Support the music. Buy the album or at least a few of their songs. Sure, it's easier to download them for free from Youtube, but that's not supporting them in any way. If you already have the album, buy some band shirts or posters. That way, you'll not only express your fandom, more people will listen to the band. Meaning more fellow fans.
